Biography
He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government and his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas at Austin in the years 1961 and 1964 respectively. He has been licensed since 1964 in the State of Texas and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Mr. Gregg has practiced law continuously for over 50 years in Harris, Galveston and Brazoria counties. His practice includes representation of public law entities, employment law and personnel matters, the drafting of corporate documents and contracts, establishment of for profit and not for profit corporations, the law of associations, parliamentary procedure, the drafting of public law ordinances, resolutions and agreements, interlocal agreements, franchises, real estate documents and of contracts for many forms of business endeavors. His trial experience includes the trial of matters relating to zoning, elections, annexation, usury, telephone and water supply service agreements and telephone service rate regulation, challenges to rule making authority of a public body, regular and inverse condemnation, removal from office of a public officer, nuisance, intellectual property, real estate, contract, consumer and deceptive trade practice issues.
Mr. Gregg is or has been a member of the board of directors and officer, if in parentheses, for League City Chamber of Commerce, Armand Bayou Nature Center (Former President), Armand Bayou Foundation, Bay Area Houston Ballet & Theatre (Former Chairman), Space Center Rotary Club (Former President), Bay Area Alliance for the Arts (Former Co-Chairman), Lunar Rendezvous Foundation, Bay Area Transportation Partnership (Former Board Member), Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce (Former Chairman), Clear Creek Education Foundation (Former Board Member), and Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership. He has also served as a member and past chairman of the University of Houston-Clear Lake Development and Advisory Council as well as well as the President's Council at University of Houston Clear Lake and the University of Texas Medical Branch President's Cabinet. Mr. Gregg is Parliamentarian for many of these entities and other organizations. He has extensive experience with Parliamentary Procedure and Robert's Rules of Order.
